We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Fertility Specialist/Consultant to join our busy clinic in Southampton. You will be a skilled professional with experience or have an interest in developing skills in assisted conception and have the desire to be part of the largest provider of IVF in the UK. The post holder must have a full GMC registration and will work with the other doctors within the clinic. The post holder is responsible for delivering and maintaining the highest standard of clinical and patient care in accordance with HF&E Act 2008 and the current HFEA Code of Practice. The role is full-time working 37.5 hours per week. Weekend and on-call rotation will also be required.

Location: Thames Valley Fertility (TVF) was established in 2017, and due to the passion, expertise and reputation of our team, has already grown into a leading fertility clinic. Providing treatment to both NHS and private patients, TVF performs approximately 400 fresh cycles and 400 frozen cycles per year. Offering a full suite of treatment and diagnostic services, including PGT. Conveniently located on the outskirts of Maidenhead, adjacent to junction 8/9 of the M4, there is ample free parking for staff and patients at the front of the building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Egg collections
  • Embryo transfer lists
  • Conducting Consultations
  • HyCoSy & Saline procedures
  • Work closely with medical, nursing and other colleagues to offer the highest level of patient care
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary fertility team
  • SSR procedures desirable but not essential

The post holder must maintain confidentiality of information about patients, employees and other Company business in accordance with the National and European data protection legislation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full GMC Registration and inclusion on the Specialist Register
  • High Diploma (Fellowship or Membership) of Speciality College MRCOG or equivalent
  • Experience in Gynecology or Fertility
  • Effective communication skills regarding medical topics with both patients and colleagues
  • Patient focused attitude
  • Minimum of 2 - 5 years clinical experience working as a Consultant, Fellow or Doctor
  • An understanding of the biology and scientific evidence underpinning clinical practice
  • Strong knowledge of the HFEA Code of Conduct
  • An understanding of the work of related disciplines
  • An appropriate level of supervision and management skills
  • An understanding of prevailing legislation
  • An understanding of, and ability to apply, quality assurance and monitoring of clinical performance

Salary: Competitive (Depending on experience)

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week On-call and weekends on rotation

Pension: Dual contribution pension scheme

Holiday Entitlement: 27 Days + Bank holidays (pro rata)
