The Billing Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely invoicing of healthcare services provided by TFP under NHS and other external contracts. The post-holder will be responsible for analysing activity data, generating third-party invoices, resolving billing queries, ensuring compliance with NHS payment and contracting regulations, and reconciling invoices to the financial reporting system.
This is a part time role - Ideally working 5 days - Monday to Friday - 09.00 - 15.00. The position is hybrid working onsite in Oxford Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We are able to offer some flexibility on these timings for the successful candidate if required.
The Location: Oxford Fertility was established in 1992 and is one of the UK’s longest standing and largest IVF clinics. Due to the passion, expertise and reputation of our team, the clinic has grown into a leading fertility clinic and offers a full suite of treatment and diagnostic services, including PGT and IVM. Providing treatment to both NHS and private patients. Conveniently located in a business park setting on the outskirts of Oxford, close to junction 8a of the M40, there is ample free parking for staff and patients around the building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and validate patient-level and contract billing data for NHS (monthly) and private funding services (weekly)
- Raise accurate and timely invoices for clinical activity to third-party providers (NHS, BUPA, Access, AXA)
- Work closely with clinical Patient Support teams and centralized Patient Contact Centre teams to ensure data integrity for billing
- Analyse treatment activity data to identify missing or incorrect information that could impact billing accuracy
- Monitor aged debt and work collaboratively with third parties to follow up on outstanding payments
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, working with internal departments and external stakeholders such as NHS trusts and insurance providers
- Ensure billing practices comply with NHS guidelines
- End to end reconciliation of non-private revenue between Patient Data system, 3rd party invoicing portals, bank and accounting system for 8 UK IVF Clinics
- Ad hoc project work and analysis as required
Confidentiality: The post holder must maintain confidentiality of information about patients, staff and other Company business in accordance with the National and European data protection legislation. In circumstances where it becomes known that a member of staff has communicated such information to an unauthorised person, that staff member will be liable for dismissal.
Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
- AAT (Level 3) or Accounting equivalent
- Credit control experience
- Experience working with and analyzing large data sets
- Strong analytical, numeracy and data interpretation skills
