We’re looking for a Senior Cost & Commercial Manager to join our team — someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working with others, and is passionate about making a difference! Your Role Reporting directly to the Commercial Lead you will work in a matrix organisation alongside Programme and project managers. In this role you will develop and manage cost plans and contract administration predominantly related to NEC Contracts. You will have the opportunity to be involved in multi modal projects, building capabilities and cost planning intelligence. You’ll be responsible for developing and managing cost plans and contract administration, primarily related to NEC contracts. This role offers the opportunity to work across multi-modal projects, building your expertise and contributing to our cost planning intelligence. You’ll also lead a team of Cost Managers and Commercial Assistants, supporting their development while maintaining strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders across departments such as Finance, Legal, and Procurement. As well as our more traditional transport construction projects and programmes, such as Metrolink, transport interchanges, rail stations, highways and bus priority, we are now delivering a range of emerging priorities from easing congestion, addressing air quality and encouraging more people to cycle and walk. As a Projects Senior Cost & Commercial Manager, you will have senior commercial and contract management responsibilities across the lifecycle of multiple contracts/projects and across multiple transport modes, as well as managing a team of Cost Managers and Commercial Assistants and maintaining interface with the wider TfGM Management team and Senior Leaders. We’re looking for someone who can bring both technical expertise and a collaborative approach. You’ll have: * Experience in commercial and contract management across the lifecycle of infrastructure projects. * Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and industry standards. * A track record of delivering projects cost-effectively from inception to completion. * Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills. * Experience leading teams and working across departments to achieve coordinated outcomes. * A degree in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience. You will have experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with supply chains with strong experience of delivering projects cost-effectively from inception to completion, extensive negotiation skills and knowledge of industry standards and experience with various construction contracts including NEC. You will have team management experience as well as experience in managing relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple departments such as Finance, Legal and Procurement, to facilitate a coordinated commercial outcome under time pressures. You will also have a degree in Commercial Management/Quantity Surveying. What we can offer you This is a permanent role with a salary of £57,770 – £65,024 per annum depending on experience At TfGM we encourage candidates to discuss flexible working options at any stage of the recruitment process.
