Your Role Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) are seeking a Lead Business Analyst who can confidently lead a Business Analysis practice to continuously improve the way we work and innovate whilst supporting TfGM's mission to transform public transport. As a Lead Business Analyst you will have strong planning, communication and presentation skills; the capability to listen and influence, and be proficient in project management methodologies, tools and techniques. You will use your experience to inform decision-making and ensure that solutions are aligned with TfGM's objectives. Your role will be split in two; 50% of your role will be focussed on owning the entire requirements gathering process on a large-scale project/ programme, the remaining 50% will be focussed on team management, leadership, continuously improving the way we work, and building relationships with other business areas to understand current challenges and their aspirations for the future. You will manage a team of Business Analysts and act as an escalation point where guidance is required. You and your team will be responsible for capturing, analysing and managing requirements on highly complex deliveries effectively and will engage effectively with senior stakeholders across the business to gather the information required. Ideal candidates will have: * a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience. * experience in a Lead Business Analyst role. * built and lead a community of practice. * proven experience in leading complex projects within the transport, public sector, or infrastructure domains. * a strong understanding of business analysis frameworks, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), and tools (e.g. JIRA, Microsoft Office Suite). * worked across functional areas to understand business challenges/ opportunities and strategies, aligning these with organisational objectives. * proven experience of creating complex/ high value business cases and guiding senior managers towards managing and accepting change. * excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leaders and cross functional teams. You and your team will work closely with internal stakeholders within TfGM and external parties to deliver impactful solutions that enhance the transport experience for Greater Manchester's residents. This is a permanent role and comes with a salary of £66,020 – £73,274 per annum depending on experience. This is comprised of base salary plus market supplement, (£57,770 – 65,024 + plus MFS £8,250, the market supplement is paid monthly and reviewed annually).
