Join us at Transport for Greater Manchester and play a key role in delivering innovative infrastructure projects that improve lives across our region Your Role As a Commercial Contract Specialist Lead, you’ll oversee specialist contractual arrangements for the delivery of our capital programme. You’ll work across a diverse and evolving portfolio—from major transport infrastructure like Metrolink and interchanges to emerging priorities such as reducing congestion, improving air quality, and promoting active travel. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and district partners to ensure contract formation, application and resolution is managed to realise optimal value and benefits. Transport for Greater Manchester has many priorities across projects delivery. As well as our more traditional transport construction projects and programmes, such as Metrolink, transport interchanges, rail stations, highways and bus priority, we are now delivering a range of emerging priorities from easing congestion, addressing air quality and encouraging more people to cycle and walk. In this role you will be an integral part of the TfGM Commercial Services team and will lead on contract advice and expertise within Capital Delivery of the Infrastructure Pipeline to ensure contract issues are managed throughout the Project Lifecycle. You will be able to build and maintain strong relationships of trust with contractors and consultant Partners and will be confident working with internal colleagues and external stakeholders, including district partners. You will have significant experience in all associated contractual matters relating to the delivery of projects including but not limited to; * Development of bespoke procurement strategies * Tender and contract formation, * Dispute mitigation and resolution * Negotiation of contractual matters on behalf of the organisation across a range of construction contracts, including NEC and bespoke forms.
