Driver Hire Leeds West is recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare distribution business based at its Leeds Service Centre. We are looking for an organised, confident and proactive Transport Administrator Clerk to support a busy transport operation delivering essential products to hospitals, pharmacies and healthcare customers across the region.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administration skills who enjoys problem-solving, variety and being part of a fast-moving team where accuracy, communication and attention to detail really matter.

  • Location: Leeds, LS11
  • Pay rate: £12.95 per hour
  • Hours: 35hrs Per Week
  • Monday to Thursday: 1100-1800
  • Friday: 0930-1800
  • Contract type: Temp to Perm with a permanent position available for the right candidate
  • Start date: Immediate start available for the right candidate

The role

As a Transport Administrator Clerk, you will play a key role in keeping the transport office running smoothly. You will monitor inboxes, respond to delivery and order queries, keep records accurate and make sure important information reaches the right people quickly.

  • Monitoring shared inboxes and responding to transport, delivery, order and product queries
  • Maintaining spreadsheets for reprints, expiry dates, batch checks and other key records
  • Liaising with customer services, management and transport colleagues
  • Processing bookings for priority hospital and pharmacy orders
  • Routing emails and queries to the correct teams
  • Arranging emergency courier bookings when required
  • Investigating proof of delivery and missing item queries

  • Someone who is organised, accurate and confident communicating with different teams
  • Ability to prioritise your own workload, stay calm under pressure and take a proactive approach when problems need solving
  • Strong administration and data accuracy skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Confident communication skills by email and phone
  • Positive, proactive attitude and good problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous fleet, transport or logistics administration experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential
