We are hiring for a brand-new role for an experienced bookkeeper or accountant.
Where and when:
- In a growing Accountancy and Tax practice, with a current team of 3.
- Relaxed office based role in Snailwell, near Newmarket.
- Flexible from 3-5 days per week to suit applicant (21 hours per week minimum which can be split over 3 or more days if desired).
- Salary depending on experience and preferred role responsibilities / hours. Expected to be in the region of £30-35k FTE.
What you will be doing:
- Bookkeeping using accounting software (almost exclusively Xero and DEXT).
- Supporting with VAT & MTD return preparation and submissions.
- Assisting with preparation of financial statements for Limited Companies and Partnerships.
- Assisting with payroll processing.
- Assisting with basic tax return preparation.
- Supporting Directors with ad hoc tasks and projects.
- Working with a variety of different and interesting clients.
Requirements:
- Recent experience in an accounts role including bookkeeping, VAT returns and payroll.
- Good working knowledge of accounting software (ideally Xero and DEXT).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
