Tezlom is currently recruiting for a Team Leader to join our Mental Health Recovery Home. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting individuals with mental health conditions to achieve recovery, independence, and improved quality of life. As a Team Leader, you will lead and support a team of care staff, ensuring that residents receive high-quality, person-centred care in a safe and supportive environment. You will also work closely with healthcare professionals, families, and other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support care staff during shifts
- Ensure the delivery of person-centred, recovery-focused care
- Support residents with daily living activities and recovery goals
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and accurate documentation
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and care standards
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and supervision to staff members
- Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and professionals
- Support the Home Manager in maintaining high standards of care
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
- Previous experience in a mental health or residential care setting
- Experience supervising or leading care staff
- Good understanding of mental health recovery approaches and safeguarding
- Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, nights, or weekends if required
Desirable
- NVQ Level 4/5 in Health & Social Care or Leadership & Management
- Experience working within a mental health recovery or supported living service
- Knowledge of CQC standards and care regulations
