Tezlom is currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our team, working across supported housing services, residential homes, and care settings to support service users with learning disabilities and mental health needs in Ealing, London. This role involves supporting young adults and adults with learning disabilities, as well as individuals who may have autism, mental health needs, or additional complex support requirements. This is a great opportunity for experienced carers looking for flexible bank shifts while making a real difference in people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing person-centred support to adults and young adults with learning disabilities
- Supporting service users with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and personal care)
- Promoting independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion
- Supporting individuals with social activities, education, and community access
- Assisting with medication in line with care plans (where required)
- Encouraging positive routines and emotional wellbeing
- Supporting individuals with challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
- Completing accurate daily notes, reports, and care documentation
- Working as part of a team to deliver safe and high-quality care
About You
- Experienced in working with learning disabilities (essential)
- Caring, patient, and compassionate
- Reliable and flexible to work bank shifts (days, evenings, weekends, nights)
- Confident supporting vulnerable adults in a respectful and professional way
- Able to build positive and trusting relationships with service users
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Previous experience working with learning disabilities (essential)
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Care Certificate
- Driver (preferred but not essential)
