Tezlom is currently recruiting for this exciting opportunity for a Healthcare/Activities Assistant for our client based in Pinner, London As an Activities HCA you\’ll support residents\’ well-being by facilitating engaging activities, promoting social interaction, and ensuring their comfort and safety, while also assisting with basic care tasks as needed Position: HCA/Activities Assistant Service: Nursing Home (62 Beds) Location: Pinner, London (HA5) Job Type: Permanent Hrs per Week: 37.5hrs Key Responsibilities: * Assisting with Activity Planning and Facilitation: * Assist the Activities Coordinator with developing and implementing activity schedules that cater to residents\’ interests and needs. * Assist with organizing a variety of activities, including games, outings, crafts, music, and social gatherings. * Resident Interaction and Support: * Encourage residents to participate in activities and social interactions. * Provide companionship and emotional support to residents. * Assist residents with mobility, personal care, and other basic needs as required. * Basic Care Tasks: * Assisting with personal care tasks such as dressing, bathing, and toileting. * Helping residents with mobility, including walking and transfers. * Serving meals and assisting with feeding. * Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents. * Documentation and Communication: * Maintain accurate records of residents\’ participation in activities and their progress. * Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals and staff members about residents\’ needs and preferences. * Report any concerns or changes in residents\’ conditions or behaviour. * Teamwork and Collaboration: * Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, and therapists, to provide holistic care. * Participate in team meetings and staff training sessions.
