Tezlom is currently recruiting for a Mental Health Support Worker for one of our services (Ealing, London) that provides specialist accommodation-based support for people who are at risk of homelessness due to complex needs and ill mental health. The service offers housing support to ensure the service users can build a bright, stable future. Service users are also provided with opportunities for education, training and volunteering and supported to tackle substance misuse if necessary.
As a MH support worker for this service, you will be expected to:
- Helping clients with mental health who are at the risk of MH crisis
- Help clients with their appointments (bookings)
- Sign posting to other agencies
- Support with their independent life skills so that they are ready for their move on in own accommodation
- Assist with life skills like cooking, cleaning, budgets etc.
- Encourage clients to lead an independent life supporting themselves
The ideal Candidate will have:
- Experience in Mental Health Support
- Homelessness
- Be able to work flexible shifts
- Enhanced DBS registered on update service is advantageous
- Valid Training Certificates - Safeguarding and GDPR
