We are looking for a HFT Engineering Lead to lead the development of our HFT (high-frequency trading) algorithms across the full spectrum of exchange-traded financial products. Your work will impact the profitability of strategies across futures and equities and will constitute our competitive edge in the markets.
Location: Chicago, IL or London, UK (Hybrid, with 3 days in-office requirement)
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of a next-generation C++ trading platform, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of our high-frequency trading infrastructure from the ground up.
- Develop and maintain our legacy HFT Java trading platform, ensuring high availability, low latency, and reliability in production across various asset classes.
- Implement robust procedures and monitoring tools to guarantee platform stability and immediate issue resolution.
- Continuously optimize the trading platform’s performance and scalability to support the evolving needs of the trading strategies and new market opportunities.
- Oversee system architecture decisions and hardware-software integration to minimize latency and maximize throughput.
- Lead quantitative analysis related to trading infrastructure performance, latency reduction, and system benchmarking.
- Collaborate closely with research, trading, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of the trading platform with trading algorithms and market data feeds.
- Manage the collection, maintenance, and analysis of trading and infrastructure data to support ongoing enhancements and troubleshooting efforts.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of prior experience in designing and maintaining high-performance trading platforms.
- Proven experience managing a team of platform developers or leading high-performance engineering teams.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across research, technology, and trading functions.
- Expertise in C/C++ and familiarity with low-level programming and systems optimization.
- Very high attention to detail, with a focus on reliability and precision in a high-stakes environment.
