Your Mission
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join Teya’s rapidly growing field‑based operations. This is a role for someone who thrives on ownership, enjoys building long‑term customer relationships, and wants to play a visible role in how a high‑growth business succeeds on the ground, while also contributing to the growth and development of the local team.
Responsibilities
- Own customer acquisition within your defined territory by proactively identifying and engaging prospective customers through outbound outreach, networking and referrals.
- Meet customers face‑to‑face to understand their needs, challenges and goals, building trust through consultative, insight‑led conversations.
- Use structured, value‑led sales approaches to win new business and consistently exceed revenue targets.
- Develop deep expertise across Teya’s full product portfolio, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to your customers.
- Act as the voice of the customer by sharing insights from the field to inform product development, sales strategy and process improvements.
- Represent Teya across your territory as a credible, professional and values‑led ambassador of the brand.
- Build and nurture long‑term customer relationships by identifying relevant upsell and cross‑sell opportunities as customers’ businesses grow.
- Support the onboarding and development of new team members by sharing best practices and coaching in the field.
- Contribute to a collaborative, high‑performance sales culture that values learning and continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with the Sales Manager and step in to support day‑to‑day leadership activities when required, helping ensure team alignment and momentum.
Your Story

- Strong experience in a sales role, ideally within field‑based sales in payments, fintech, SaaS or similar industries, with a level of seniority that demonstrates consistent performance and impact.
- A proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and driving sustainable revenue growth.
- Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting colleagues, with the ability to positively influence and develop others.
- Strong organisation and time‑management skills, particularly in a field‑based environment.
- Confident negotiation and objection‑handling capabilities.
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast‑paced, evolving business.
- A proactive, self‑driven mindset, with an interest in developing towards leadership as the local team continues to grow.
- Fluency in English.
- A full UK driving licence.
