Teya was founded on a simple belief: local businesses deserve better. They are the cafés, restaurants, salons, shops and entrepreneurs that bring character to our high streets, create jobs and keep communities moving. Yet for too long, financial services has made life harder for them - with clunky tools, poor support and complexity that gets in the way of running a business. We’re building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe - one built around simple tools, thoughtful design and real human support. Our Members rely on us to help them run their business with confidence, and that responsibility shapes the way we work. We care about quality. And we believe great performance and genuine hospitality should go hand in hand.
Your Mission
As a Treasury Senior Analyst at Teya, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day liquidity, funding and cash deployment across our entities, products and currencies. You will help ensure that funds are available in the right place, in the right currency and at the right time to support settlements, payment flows and wider business needs, while ensuring surplus cash is deployed prudently and efficiently.
You will take ownership of liquidity management and forecasting, identifying emerging funding requirements, optimising cash balances and coordinating cash movements across entities, bank accounts and currencies. You will also support the management of FX exposures and short-term investments, balancing liquidity, resilience, regulatory requirements and yield.
Working across Treasury, Finance, Risk, Payments Operations, Product, Engineering and Data, you will strengthen the frameworks, controls and reporting that underpin Teya’s Treasury function. You will help evolve our liquidity, funding, FX and investment processes as the business grows, ensuring decisions are evidence-based, well controlled and clearly documented.
You will also play an important role in improving how Treasury operates. From enhancing cash visibility and forecasting to translating business requirements into system improvements and automating manual processes, you will help build scalable solutions that reduce operational risk and enable better decision-making. This role combines hands-on Treasury execution with analytical problem-solving and continuous improvement. You will be expected to exercise sound judgement, operate confidently within approved limits and delegated authorities, and identify opportunities to improve the way we manage liquidity, funding and financial risk across Teya.
Responsibilities
- Manage and forecast liquidity across relevant Teya entities, products, bank accounts and currencies, ensuring sufficient funds are available to support settlements, payment flows and operational funding needs.
- Maintain and evolve appropriate liquidity buffers and minimum operating balances, coordinating cash movements, funding arrangements and intercompany flows with Payments Operations and banking partners.
- Coordinate execution, settlement and confirmations with banks, maintaining accurate records and appropriate audit trails.
- Manage the placement and redemption of surplus cash in approved money-market funds and other permitted short-term instruments, assessing liquidity requirements, settlement timing, counterparty exposure, maturities, yield and regulatory eligibility.
- Monitor investment balances, maturities, cut-off times and expected returns, coordinating with providers and banking partners to resolve operational issues and improve investment workflows.
- Support the development of cash-pooling and automated sweep approaches where approved, helping optimise cash allocation and improve the efficiency of Treasury operations.
- Maintain and operationalise Treasury policies, procedures and frameworks covering liquidity, minimum cash requirements, funding, FX and investment activity, ensuring compliance with governance requirements and delegated authorities.
- Produce and improve management reporting on cash positions, liquidity forecasts, funding requirements, investments and currency exposures, investigating variances and translating analysis into clear, actionable insights.
- Work with Risk as part of the first-line Treasury function, supporting independent oversight and promptly identifying and escalating actual or potential breaches of approved limits, policies or controls.
- Support compliance with applicable electronic money institution (EMI) and banking regulations, ensuring Treasury activities are appropriately controlled, documented and executed.
- Partner with Product teams from concept through to launch, embedding Treasury considerations such as funding, liquidity and settlement requirements into product design and customer journeys.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Data and Payments Operations to improve cash visibility and Treasury infrastructure, translating business needs into clear system and data requirements for platforms such as Payment Hub, bank connectivity, Snowflake and reporting tools.
- Validate automated outputs and controls before they enter business-as-usual use, document processes and identify opportunities to automate manual, fragmented or error-prone workflows.
- Take ownership of Treasury improvement initiatives, strengthening analytical capabilities, reducing operational risk and freeing up capacity for higher-value analysis and decision-making.
Requirements
- 4+ years' experience in Treasury, liquidity management or a closely related Finance role, ideally within a regulated bank, payments business, fintech or financial-services firm.
- Practical experience managing cash and liquidity across multiple entities, banks and currencies, including forecasting and settlement-driven funding.

- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to assess assumptions, investigate forecast variances and translate analysis into clear recommendations.
- Working knowledge of liquidity regulation and frameworks, such as LCR, NSFR and Asset-Liability Management (ALM), where applicable.
- A strong control mindset, with careful execution, sound judgement, accurate record-keeping and the confidence to identify and escalate risks or potential breaches.
- Experience improving Treasury processes, reporting or automation, ideally working with Finance, Product, Risk, Data, Engineering or Payments Operations teams.
