- Take ownership of deferred tax analysis, including assessment of deferred tax positions and deferred tax asset recognition
- Take ownership of R&D tax credit claims
- Review tax computations and ensure tax positions are appropriately reflected in statutory reporting
- Manage tax expense reporting processes and support the wider tax reporting timetable
- Oversee intercompany loan and related tax processes relevant to the Group Tax team
- Compliance and outsourced provider management
- Support and coordinate direct tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Manage the relationship with outsourced compliance providers, ensuring high-quality delivery, clear deadlines and effective challenge where needed
- Review outputs from external advisors and outsourced providers, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy and consistency
- Help strengthen tax reporting and compliance processes, controls and templates across the function
- Broader tax support
- Support tax planning and the tax implications of global expansion
- Partner with the business on the tax impact of new products, transactions and changes in operating model
- Support R&D credit claims and application processes in relevant jurisdictions
- Assist with intercompany analysis, group-level tax support and restructuring activity
- Contribute to VAT analysis and ad hoc indirect tax matters as required
- Support organisational structure planning and implementation where needed
Who you will work with
- the Group Tax team
- Legal
- Engineering and Product
- the wider Finance team, including technical accounting, controllership, FP&A, business support services and treasury
- external advisors and outsourced compliance providers
What we are looking for
- Around 5 years of relevant experience in tax, ideally in a Big 4 or similarly strong technical environment
- Strong international tax knowledge, with hands-on experience in group tax accounting and compliance
- Excellent understanding of tax reporting in financial statements, including tax note disclosure and deferred tax
- Experience reviewing tax computations and challenging technical positions where appropriate
- Experience managing outsourced compliance providers or external advisor relationships
- Good understanding of corporate tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience supporting R&D credit claims or applications
- Exposure to tax planning, global expansion or cross-border business growth
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work through complex legal entity and group structures
- Strong stakeholder skills and the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly to non-specialists
- A proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to improve processes and build practical reporting tools
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, multinational environment
Preferred experience
- Experience supporting tax due diligence processes
- Experience with financial statement audits or tax audits
- Background in direct tax, corporate tax or tax reporting
- Exposure to banking, payments or regulated business environments
Ideal candidate profile
You are technically strong, commercially aware and comfortable working in a lean specialist team where ownership matters. You enjoy combining core reporting and compliance responsibilities with broader, value-added tax work. You are someone who can move confidently between detail and big picture: reviewing computations, improving disclosures, managing external providers and supporting the business on expansion and planning. Just as importantly, you are a clear communicator who can build strong relationships across Finance and the wider business.
