Hello! We\’re Teya.
Teya is a payment and software service provider, headquartered in London serving small, local businesses across Europe. Founded in 2019, we build easy to use, integrated tools that enable our members to accept payments and boost business performance.

At Teya we believe small, local businesses are the lifeblood of our communities.
We’re here because we don’t believe there’s a level playing field that gives small businesses with a fighting chance against the giants of the high street.
We’re here because we see banks and legacy service providers making things harder for them. We don’t think the best technology or the best service should be reserved for those with the biggest headquarters.
We’re here to fight for a future where small, local businesses can thrive, and to commit the same dedication they offer all of us.

Become a part of our story.
We’re looking for exceptional talent to join our mission. We offer a chance to create impact in a high-energy and connected culture, while benefiting from continuous learning opportunities, a supportive community which is proud to serve our mission, and comprehensive benefits.

We’re seeking a hands-on Automation Solutions Specialist to optimise our internal processes and workflows. Collaborating with Product Managers (particularly those overseeing CR and sales tools) and Operations leaders, you will design and implement solutions that enhance how we serve our customers. Key Responsibilities

  1. Automation Development & Maintenance
Build, test, and deploy automation workflows, primarily using Workato (or comparable platforms).
  2. Integrate and synchronise systems (HubSpot, Zendesk, Jira, etc.) to ensure accurate data flow and minimal manual intervention.
  3. Manage logistics-related processes, including real-time notifications and communications around deliveries or status updates.
  4. Process large Excel datasets (>10k rows) in data frames for reporting, visualisation, and trend analysis.
  5. Apply basic statistical methods (means, medians, standard deviations) to identify efficiencies and inform decision-making.
  1. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with operational leaders and agents in multiple locations, gathering requirements and translating them into actionable automation proposals.
  2. Conduct occasional presentations or demos of automation solutions, though the primary focus is hands-on execution.
  3. Regularly assess existing processes for opportunities to automate and improve.
  4. Leverage AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to expedite coding, debugging, and prototyping solutions.
  1. Security & Compliance Awareness
Ensure automations follow essential data security and privacy best practices.
  2. Liaise with relevant teams on compliance considerations as needed (e.g., data privacy regulations).
  1. Leadership & Growth
Guide less experienced team members or peers in best practices for automation.
  2. Potentially lead a small team of automation specialists as the function expands.

Qualifications

Technical Proficiency

  1. iPaaS Experience : Hands-on knowledge of Workato or a similar platform.
  2. API Integrations : Familiar with RESTful APIs, JSON payloads, and token-based authorisations.
  3. Proficient in using spreadsheets, data frames, and basic data visualisation tools.
  4. Able to handle medium-large data sets (tens of thousands of rows) efficiently.

Tools & Platforms

  1. Comfortable working with Jira, HubSpot, Zendesk, and other CRMs or ticketing systems.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

  1. Demonstrable track record of spotting automation opportunities and delivering workable, tested solutions.
  2. Capable of basic statistical calculations to inform operational decisions.
  3. Able to translate business needs into technical solutions and convey progress to non-technical stakeholders concisely.
  4. Fluent written and spoken English; other languages a plus.

Professional Experience

  1. Previous experience in a role heavily focused on automation, systems integration, or process engineering.
  2. Exposure to operational logistics or supply-chain systems is beneficial but not mandatory.

Mindset & Growth
