About the role
This is a full-time role based onsite at our facility in Colnbrook on Poyle Trading Estate.
Responsibilities
- Inspecting, repairing and servicing the cargo movement and handling equipment
- Maintenance of cable drum brakes, wheel bearings, conveyor roller beds, and chassis turntables
- Welding
About You
Qualifications
- A basic understanding of simple mechanical systems
- Practical experience with mechanical systems gained through previous employment, education, or relevant hobbies/interests
- Confident with hands-on, practical tasks
- Entry-level (Level 2) English literacy skills
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure
- A proactive and motivated approach to learning in a hands-on environment
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Experience with welding is also desirable
Additional Requirements
The successful candidate will be required to undertake security vetting, which includes a criminal records check and the provision of five years’ continuous education and/or employment references.
