The role involves undertaking a variety of driving duties across contracts held by the company. This includes collections from charity shops, private properties, waste amenity sites, and standalone clothing banks located in public car parks and streets. The driver will be responsible for collecting, loading, and unloading textile items manually.

Strong multitasking abilities and effective time management skills are essential for success in this role. Maintain high service delivery standards in line with company policy to support contract retention. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner when interacting with shop managers, staff, and waste site employees. Maintain courteous, diplomatic, and cooperative working relationships with colleagues, partners, and suppliers at all times.

Complete daily collections within designated timeframes, with flexibility to work beyond standard hours when required to meet customer commitments. Ensure all loads are securely and safely stowed. Provide accurate reports of completed activities and promptly communicate any issues to the line manager. Maintain up-to-date logbooks and issue collection/delivery receipts as required.

Essential Skills:

  • Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling.
  • Strong team player skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Clean valid UK Drivers Licence.
  • HGV Class 2 classification.
  • 2 years experience of driving HGV.
  • Proof of right to work in UK.
  • Required to have a good standard of spoken and written English language for health and safety purposes.
