Workshop Manager

TEXO Recruitment are looking for a Workshop Manager to join one of our well-established engineering and fabrication clients based in Lerwick, Shetland. This is a full time, permanent position which would require working away from home on a rotational basis.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• Time-served in the welding and fabrication industry with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Proven leadership skills, able to organise and motivate teams
• Capable of reading and working to fabrication drawings
• Holds a full UK driving licence

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with Project Engineers and delegate tasks to shop floor employees
• Manage shop floor and site teams, troubleshooting and resolving work-related issues
• Monitor and track project progress, ensuring timely completion and quality standards
• Ensure Health and Safety compliance and manage consumables
