Overview

TEXO Recruitment are sourcing for a Technical Engineer for construction work across the North-East of Scotland. This role is a full-time, permanent role offering an immediate start. The suitable candidate will support the delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects. You’ll act as the bridge between design and construction, ensuring all technical aspects of projects are accurate, buildable, and compliant with specifications and standards. This role ensures high-quality delivery, accurate setting-out, and effective coordination of construction.

Daily Duties and Tasks

  • Provide technical support to site teams to ensure works are buildable, safe, and compliant
  • Conduct setting-out and site surveys to support construction activities
  • Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation, method statements, and quality records
  • Coordinate with designers, consultants, temporary works engineers, and construction teams to resolve technical queries
  • Lead engineering teams in setting-out, site surveys, and quality inspections
  • Prepare, review, and manage ITPs, method statements, and quality records
  • Provide technical input for NEC early warnings, design changes, and risk assessments

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience within a similar Technical role within the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality processes
  • Ability to use AutoCAD and GPS equipment
