TEXO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Tar Operative to join our external established civil construction client based in Aberdeen.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in road surfacing or tarring is preferred.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Spill kit training.
  • Manual handling training.
  • UK Driving licence – HGV is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform civil engineering tasks like roadworks, drainage, slab/kerb laying, cable pulling, and concrete work.
  • Transport and operate the tar box.
  • Keep assigned vehicles, equipment, and machinery clean, maintained, and regularly checked.
  • Operate machinery and equipment per standard procedures and only if certified.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Complete other tasks as requested by management.
