TEXO Recruitment are delighted to represent our external client in recruiting an exciting new role. This is a new permanent role with the aim to strengthen our client's business development capability across Europe and Africa and to support long-term succession planning. This is a unique opportunity to work side-by-side with the DRD reporting to the CEO, gaining direct exposure to strategic decision-making while playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of our regional business.
We are searching for candidates either located in the UK, Malta/Europe or Africa with in-country experience. Our client is an industry-leading global organisation providing Asset Integrity Management, Inspection and specialised Repair & Maintenance services to the Oil and Gas Industries.
As BDM you will be involved in the business, clients, and technologies. During this phase, you will:
- Work closely with the DRD and CEO to understand strategy, service lines, and growth ambitions.
- Develop and deliver a Business Plan focused on expanding presence with selected clients and priority service lines.
- Build a strong understanding of our clients' technologies and how they deliver value across the drilling sector.
- Build and nurture trusted relationships with selected key clients across Europe and Africa.
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities in international markets.
- Lead the preparation of business proposals and bids in line with company processes.
- Act as a market ambassador—keeping clients informed of technology developments and engaging them at the right time with the right solutions.
- Provide insight on market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to support strategic growth decisions.
Candidate requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or technical subjects, such as mechanical, structural or other engineering discipline.
- Relevant experience with the Oil and Energy Industry.
- Candidate ideally located within the UK or Malta.
