JOB TITLE: Project Coordinator – Fabric Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Fabric Maintenance Manager
LOCATION Onshore
Role Summary:
The Rope Access and Coatings Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the safe and efficient application of coatings in high or difficult-to-reach locations. This includes overseeing the rope access team, ensuring that all safety standards are met, and ensuring that the coating work is carried out in compliance with quality standards. The coordinator will also handle logistics, scheduling, inventory management, and liaising with clients
Core Responsibilities:
- Coordinate rope access & coating personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Ensure that all personnel are properly trained, certified, and equipped for rope access work.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures for all rope access activities.
- Coordinate the application of coatings on surfaces using rope access techniques.
- Oversee the use of correct materials and application methods as specified in job orders and project specifications.
- Troubleshoot any coating application problems, such as issues with adhesion, curing, or defects.
- Develop detailed work plans and schedules for coating projects involving rope access.
- Coordinate logistics, including ensuring the availability of materials, equipment, and personnel.
- Monitor and report progress on coatings projects to management and clients.
- Ensure that all projects meet deadlines, are within budget, and comply with quality standards.
- Liaise with clients to understand their coating requirements and provide updates on project status.
- Address any client concerns or changes to scope during the project.
- Ensure that the completed work meets client expectations in terms of quality, finish, and timelines.
- Oversee the procurement and management of coating materials, rope access gear, and other necessary equipment.
- Ensure the correct stock levels are maintained and that materials are stored and handled properly.
- Maintain accurate records of all rope access and coating activities, including job logs, safety reports, and inspections.
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports to senior management and clients.
- Document any incidents or safety breaches and propose corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in rope access (e.g., IRATA, SPRAT) is mandatory.
- Specialized training in coatings application or industrial coatings (e.g., NACE, SSPC certification).
- Experience (3-5 years) in both rope access work and coatings application, preferably in industrial settings such as offshore, high-rise, or power plants.
- Strong knowledge of rope access safety, regulations, and techniques.
- Knowledge of various coating systems and their application methods.
- Good project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and basic project management software.

- Promote the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Aspects of the management system
- Support the Company’s environmental stance by following all environmental procedures and policies and assist with the reduction of waste, energy usage and emissions
- Wear all issued personal protective equipment in the correct manner
- Attend all safety meetings and toolbox talks and actively contribute at these meetings.
