TEXO Recruitment are hiring for a Site Supervisor on behalf of our external client for work in Tayside. Working on behalf of a well-established civils and construction contractor, our client is offering this role on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role coordinates workers, subcontractors, materials, and equipment while acting as the main point of contact on site.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on site
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Monitor site safety and enforce health & safety regulations
- Allocate tasks to workers and subcontractors and monitor performance
- Inspect work quality and ensure compliance with standards
- Manage site materials, tools, and equipment
- Maintain site records, progress reports, and daily logs
- Identify and resolve on-site issues or delays
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, and inspectors
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and company policies
Qualifications
- Qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in construction
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical documents
- 3–5 years of construction site experience (varies by project scale)
- Hands-on experience managing labor and subcontractor
