TEXO Recruitment are currently looking for an Electrician for one of our external clients in Hartlepool. The Electrician will be part of a problem-solving engineering team responsible for the preventative maintenance, inspection, fault diagnosis and responding to breakdowns and equipment failures, applying structured fault-finding and problem-solving techniques to restore plant and machinery to full operation with minimal downtime.
- Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, fault-finding, and repairs on port cranes and mobile plant equipment.
- Maintain harbour mobile cranes and other mobile plant used in a busy dock environment.
- Work with PLC-controlled systems and AC/DC drive systems where applicable.
- Perform safe isolation procedures before any maintenance or repair work.
- Maintain mobile plant electrical systems including 12V/24V systems and CANbus networks.
- Support maintenance of ancillary systems such as building electrics and lighting towers/masts.
Qualified to ONC / Level 3 (or equivalent) as a minimum; Experience with mobile plant electrical systems, including knowledge of building electrical systems & lighting towers and lighting mast systems.
