Cable Technician (Dundee)

TEXO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Cable Extrusion Operator on behalf our external client located in Dundee. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company specialising in high-quality cable manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor extrusion machinery to produce specialist cables.
• Prepare raw materials (e.g., copper, fibre, polymer compounds).
• Perform routine maintenance and equipment cleaning.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure product standards.
• Follow technical drawings and production instructions.
• Record production data and report any adjustments made.
• Communicate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
• Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in cable manufacturing or polymer extrusion.
• Skilled in operating extrusion equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to read technical drawings and instructions.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
• Flexible with shift work.
