The Trainee Field Service Engineer supports Field Service Engineers, Senior Engineers, Project Managers, and Senior Management in the successful delivery of site-based and engineering activities. The role provides hands-on assistance across projects while gaining technical experience and developing professional skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general site support duties and undertake basic engineering tasks as instructed.
- Assist Texo field teams with daily operational activities (e.g., top-man duties, confined-space rescue, rope rescue, mechanical engineering tasks under supervision).
- Commit to continuous professional development, gaining new skills and applying them in the workplace.
- Clean, maintain, and care for plant, vehicles, equipment, and tooling; report defects to line management and the SHEQ team.
- Support mobilisation and demobilisation of site projects.
- Ensure all allocated tasks are delivered safely, efficiently, and to required standards.
- Provide assistance to other team members, both on-site and in Texo HUBs, when required.
- Comply with all company policies, including correct use of PPE, equipment, vehicles, and plant.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to support and achieve company goals.
- Act as a positive ambassador for the business, promoting Texo’s values and reputation.

- Strong communication skills and excellent timekeeping.
- Ability to work accurately under supervision, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and on time.
