TEXO Recruitment are currently supporting an Aberdeen-based client in the search for an experienced Heat Exchanger Technician to join their operations team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, cleaning, repair, and reassembly of heat exchangers, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company and industry standards.

  • Carry out incoming inspections of heat exchanger equipment
  • Perform thermographic surveying of client equipment
  • Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble heat exchangers
  • Dry plates using industrial ovens
  • Carry out gasket replacement, plate inspection, and pressure testing

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all work is completed to company quality standards
  • Support quality assurance procedures and compliance standards

Training & Competence

  • Attend required training courses to maintain competency
  • Adhere to company QHSE policies and procedures
  • Support quality management systems and workshop standards

Mechanical background with 2–3 years’ relevant experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Commitment to quality and safe working practices. Full UK driving licence. Experience with tools and machinery related to heat exchanger servicing. NDT Training (PT Pre & In-Service Inspection – PCN Level 2 preferred). Thermographic training. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Travel to client sites may be required depending on operational needs.
