Role Purpose

You will design and create beautiful prints that are distinctive to your dedicated brand handwriting. You will have creative and artistic flair with fresh, new and innovative ideas. We are passionate about print and are looking for someone who loves it as much as we do.

Role Responsibilities

  • Creating original and vintage inspired prints both in repeat and as placement artworks engineered to the garment
  • Creating unique and commercial colourways from our seasonal palettes
  • Preparing print packs for factories to clearly understand
  • Researching relevant trends for print and colour in keeping with the brand and customer mindset
  • Building and maintaining great relationships with Design and Buying teams
  • Providing consistent and quality admin support to your line manager
  • Working to your own initiative and be able to take responsibility when required
  • Continually aiming to develop yourself, asking your Line Manager for support and guidance

Role Requirements

  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of Photoshop and the ability to put prints into repeat ready for digital and screen printing
  • Demonstrate an ability to design trend‐relevant and commercial prints
  • PC/Mac literate – Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, Word, Adobe Suite
  • Inspire by bringing newness with key ideas relevant to the brand; a love of social media trends, influencers and catwalks is a must
  • A passion for print from competition, designers, vintage and other inspirational sources
  • Previous experience working in a busy retail environment/ student placement
  • Broad understanding of current competitive marketplace
  • Ability to translate trends into a commercial way for the Love & Roses customer
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal / communication skills and be able to work with the team
  • Great organisational skills and the ability to adjust to changes and work flexibly
  • Able to multitask whilst producing high‐quality output and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrate a can‐do attitude and resilience
  • Self‐motivated and eager to learn
