Position Full‑Time Fabric Print & Textile Designer – London, UK. The role is immediate and part of the London studio of luxury fashion house Simone Rocha.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development of seasonal prints, fabrics, and textiles for both womenswear and menswear collections, reinforcing the brand's commitment to forward‑thinking design and ethical sourcing.
  • Conduct initial research, execute digital and physical textile swatches, and generate proofs for the creative director.
  • Source materials with strict attention to environmental minimums, lead times and pricing, ensuring all prints and textiles meet the highest quality and ethical standards whilst aligning with the target price strategy.
  • Manage pre‑production consumption, order sampling materials in a timely manner and resolve technical and costing issues.
  • Build strong ethical relationships with European and overseas material suppliers.
  • Collaborate extensively with pattern cutters, production staff and cross‑functional teams, coordinating closely with factories through written communication and on‑site visits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience in the luxury or premium market.
  • Highly proficient in computer‑aided design (Illustrator and Photoshop) for reworking, recolouring and digitising intricate artworks.
  • Deep technical understanding of fabric processes – from prints to embroidery – and the ability to manage a critical‑path timeline.
  • Strong technical and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to manage a critical path timeline and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
