Textile Designer (Maternity Cover) Sanderson Design Group, a pioneer in luxury interior furnishings, has announced an exclusive opportunity for a visionary Textile Designer to join its esteemed design studio on a maternity cover basis. This strategic appointment underscores the group's ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of ethical design and sustainable innovation within the luxury homestyle sector.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop new collection concepts that align with the brand’s rigorous launch schedule.
  • Work from design proofing through to the production of wallpapers, fabrics, and paint, ensuring all projects are delivered within specified timelines through an active stage-and-gate process.
  • Analyse sales data, market opportunities, and emerging design techniques to propel the brand’s aesthetic forward while maintaining responsible production methods.
  • Collaborate closely with the Lead Licensing Designer, Design Director, and the company archivist to bring inspirational visual presentations and mood boards to life.
  • Utilise advanced CAD techniques for colour separation, repeating, and print development, crafting artwork both by hand and by computer.
  • Work with licensing partners to ensure the brand’s heritage and forward-looking ethos are accurately and ethically represented across all product touchpoints.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience within manufacturing companies that produce clothing, wallpaper, soft furnishings, and other textile-based products.
  • A proven track record of developing broad luxury collections, including weaves, jacquards, prints, and embroideries.
  • A degree in textiles or a relevant field.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud programmes such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • The ability to thrive in a highly pressurised environment whilst maintaining excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
