Chesterfield Royal is a busy District General Hospital, covering a broad range of emergency, cancer, and elective paediatric and adult ENT workload, including endocrine surgery in rhinology and facial plastics.
The service has close links with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, sharing weekend pathways and links for cancer surgery. You will join our existing middle-grade ENT doctors in providing out-of-hours cover on a non-resident on-call basis, from Monday to Thursday. A designated consultant supervisor/mentor will oversee your education and training development, with some support for those undertaking CESR, depending on your requirements and stage of development.
Our staff enjoy benefits such as on-site parking, local discounts, on-site café, Amazon lockers, a cycle-to-work scheme, electric vehicle charging points, and a new staff health and wellbeing hub with rooms for mindfulness, gym, and showers, along with various activity programs. Chesterfield is a thriving market town with attractive countryside, leisure facilities, and extensive retail outlets. It has excellent road and rail links, and easy access to airports. Housing is competitively priced with a range of options. The area has high-performing schools and proximity to Meadowhall Shopping Centre, one of Europe's largest shopping malls. Sheffield, with two universities including a medical and dental school, is just 9 miles away.
