Overview
Fire Safety Co-ordinator for Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services Limited (DSFS). The role is a 15 hour per week contract based in Derbyshire, England, providing expert advice to the Head of Health and Safety on fire safety and Health & Safety management and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert Fire & Health and Safety guidance to all Trust / DSFS working groups and committees as required.
- Support the development and improvement of fire safety policies and procedures, proactively managing the implementation of changes across all other Trust and DSFS departments through to completion.
- Record, provide and present monthly reports based on analysis of statistical fire safety and training data to meet internal requirements for service assurance and completion of actions arising to satisfy external legislation and enforcement bodies.
- Review and complete works on currently installed firefighting appliances, signage and evacuation notification to meet current fire safety requirements.
- Initiate contact with local Fire Service to ensure sufficient interaction; ensure deployment roles, practices and responsibilities between the trust and the brigade meet minimum legislative, working practices and emergency understanding requirements.
- Develop procedures and programmes and complete fire risk assessments to the required frequencies and standards.
