We are delighted to offer a full‑time role as a Senior Clinical Clinician – Band 6 within the Harrogate Adult Crisis Resolution and Intensive Home Treatment Team. This is a permanent position based in Ripon, supporting the adult populations of Harrogate, Ripon, Knaresborough, Wetherby and surrounding areas. The team operates over 24 hours, seven days a week, with a 12‑hour shift pattern.

The post holder will be part of a resilient, welcoming and professional team that works collaboratively with internal and external partners to meet the needs of those experiencing a crisis in their mental health. The team takes a recovery‑oriented, formulation‑driven approach, valuing shared decision‑making.

The post is open to Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers with current registration with the NMC, HCPC or SWE. Nursing candidates must have 18 months after qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework. This role may be eligible for sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route.

Main duties of the job

• Coordinate the shift, triage and assess referrals, manage risk and develop safety plans.
• Produce clinical formulation and liaise with internal and external agencies as required.
• Support gate‑keeping admissions to acute wards and aid bed management.
• Provide clinical leadership to junior team members and students, prioritise workload and use resources efficiently to meet service user and carer needs.
• Maintain high motivation, initiative, sound assessment, documentation and written communication skills.
• Travel independently across the locality, with access to a suitable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Current professional registration with an approved professional body (NMC, HCPC or SWE).
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Recognised sign‑off by a mentor, clinical educator or equivalent, achieved within the agreed timescale.
• Clinical supervisor endorsement.
• 18 months post‑qualifying experience including sign‑off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework.
• Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent).

Skills

• Provide leadership, coordinate and prioritise team activities.
• Communicate complex and sensitive information effectively to patients, carers/families and all multidisciplinary team members.
• Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and undertake lead professional or care‑coordinator responsibilities.

Experience

• Significant experience working with people with mental ill health.
• Collaborative working with service users, their families and carers.
• Demonstrable evidence of leadership experience.
