An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Health Officer to join our ambitious Environmental Health Team. The post will focus on both regulatory and corporate health and safety, and you will be expected to take a lead on matters such as accident investigation, complaint investigation, event safety and internal health and safety audits.
Whilst the role focuses on health and safety, we would also be happy to consider a role that combines health and safety with food safety, for candidates with recent food experience. The successful candidate will ideally have relevant professional experience and a strong background in local authority health and safety enforcement. However, we are happy to receive applications from candidates with experience across the range of environmental health functions, including newly qualified officers.
In terms of personal qualities, we are looking for officers who are highly organised with excellent communication, team working and problem solving skills. In return we can offer a friendly and supportive working environment with a commitment to staff development and career progression.
