An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Health Officer to join our ambitious Environmental Health Team. The post will focus on Environmental Protection and you will be expected to take a lead on matters such as statutory nuisance, air quality, planning application consultations and private water supplies. Furthermore, you will supervise a small team of officers and will have the opportunity to shape the future direction of the service.
The successful candidate will ideally have relevant professional experience and a strong background in environmental protection matters. However, we are happy to receive applications from candidates with experience across the range of environmental health functions, including newly qualified officers.
In terms of personal qualities, we are looking for officers who are highly organised with excellent communication, team working and problem solving skills. In return, we can offer a friendly and supportive working environment with a commitment to staff development and career progression.
