The Business Excellence function supports the UK business in executing its strategy and driving performance improvement. This newly created role, part of the Business Excellence LT, will lead the Commercial Insights and Digital Delivery activities within the UK, reporting into the Senior Director, Business Excellence.
We are looking for a strategic and innovative leader to support each of the franchises drive performance. You will be responsible for driving business performance using commercial, data‑driven market and competitor intelligence and digital products that enhance customer engagement, marketing effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
On the commercial side, you will work collaboratively with the franchise leads to develop GTM strategies, annual operating plans (budgets) and support the wider business improve performance through the use of KPIs that drive action and insight. On the digital side, you will be expected to work strategically and collaboratively with the business leads across GX, IX and Medical to agree how best to drive their strategies through digital channels. This would also extend to seeking new ways of digitalising interaction with our strategic customers. At the same time, we are looking for you to lead the adoption of digital productivity tools across the business.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in pharmaceutical insights and analytics, digital delivery, and team leadership, with a passion for data, technology, and business impact. To be successful in this role you will need to be adept at working with local stakeholders to deliver UK priorities and at the same time influence (and challenge) stakeholders to drive business performance. You must also be comfortable working with and influencing global stakeholders and delivery teams to deliver UK priorities. As this is a critical and high‑profile role working across the whole organisation you would be expected to be a visible and influential member of the extended UK leadership team.
How You’ll Spend Your Day
- Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and deliver a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for commercial insights and digital transformation aligned with Teva UK’s business objectives. Lead the evolution of customer‑facing channels, web estate, and process automation in collaboration with global IT and digital teams. Integrate market intelligence, competitor analysis, and sales force effectiveness into strategic planning and execution.
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and support a team of commercial analysts and digital product managers, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing environment. Embed best practices in product management, data analytics, and performance reporting across the team. Ensure the team has the skills, motivation, and focus to deliver the business plan.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with senior stakeholders across sales, marketing, portfolio, and finance to align insights and digital initiatives with business outcomes. Communicate insights and digital solutions effectively across the organization to ensure adoption and impact. Influence and inspire cross‑functional teams to embrace data‑driven and digital ways of working.
- Change Management: Drive the adoption of new technologies and data systems, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the function and wider business. Collaborate with global teams to orchestrate UK priorities and leverage shared platforms and capabilities. Address regional delivery challenges and optimize the digital and data ecosystem.
- Performance and Metrics: Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to monitor the impact of insights and digital initiatives. Use data‑driven insights to inform decision‑making and strategic adjustments. Regularly report progress, challenges, and successes to senior leadership.
- Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in commercial analytics and digital product management. Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation within the commercial and digital landscape. Champion the adoption of cutting‑edge solutions that enhance user experience and drive business growth.
Your Experience And Qualifications
- Key Experiences: Proven experience in leading commercial insights and digital transformation in a pharmaceutical or related industry. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry and market data sources, reimbursement mechanisms. Experience in managing external data providers and negotiating data acquisition. Demonstrated success in building digital capabilities and delivering complex change projects in a matrixed environment. Strong leadership and team development skills. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Specific Requirements: Experience in driving improvements in business performance using commercial insights, competitor intelligence and digital products. Ability to manage and integrate diverse teams and skillsets. Comfortable working in a highly regulated sector with complex stakeholder environments.
