The Opportunity

  • Responsible for ensuring the Teva Larne Engineering Systems, Procedures, Documentation, Facilities and Equipment are maintained and fully functional.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery in industrial plant.
  • Establish standards and policies for pollution control, installation, modification, quality control, testing, operating procedure, inspection, and maintenance of equipment, according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
  • Direct maintenance of plant, buildings and equipment and coordinate requirements for new designs, surveys, and maintenance schedules.
  • Tests newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfilment of contract specifications.
  • Undertake any other duties, which may be assigned by Senior Management.
  • Create and organise new preventive maintenance / calibration / non-routine maintenance and review existing records on computerised asset management system e.g. breakdowns / non-routine.
  • Organise preventive maintenance / calibration internally including external contractor(s).
  • Maintain / monitor site Building Management System.
  • Procurement of additional plant / Equipment, including creating / reviewing qualification documentation and sourcing plant / equipment from relevant suppliers.
  • Create / review risk assessments for engineering and general site health and safety.
  • Support Site Health and Safety committee, provide advice and carry out duties attached to this role.
  • Carry out Health and safety inspections and Audits for the Teva Larne Site and create / review risk assessments for engineering and general site health and safety.
  • Create / review / maintain engineering SOPs.
  • Raise any corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) / Change Controls (CCRs) / Deviations (DRs) as and when required.
  • Liaise with relevant departments about site / equipment issues to ensure cGMP compliance.
  • Proactively implement safe systems of work, being responsible for the protection and safety of other company personnel and minimising environmental impacts.
  • Upkeep documentation necessary for compliance with FDA, MHRA and external and internal audits.

Who We're Looking For

  • Educated to HNC level or above would be preferred.
  • Significant practical experience of working within an engineering based role in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • GMP environment experience.
  • Practical knowledge of the following techniques: Project Management Experience, Health & Safety Experience, Fault Finding Experience.
  • Demonstrable IT Skills e.g. Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain high standards of work, attention to detail and right first time approach.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work largely unsupervised.
  • The ability to work proactively and under time constraints.
  • Team working and interpersonal skills.
  • A flexible approach to changing priorities and able to adjust working hours as necessary including participation in an on-call rota.
