At Teva Runcorn, we develop, manufacture and market innovative and affordable medicines, specialising in sterile liquid products mainly used for treating respiratory conditions using Blow-Fill-Seal technology as well as injectable Combination Products such as our MS treatment Copaxone.
The Opportunity
To provide hands on support to the operations teams and C&I Manager to maximise efficiency and availability of plant and utilities systems. To ensure all calibration and maintenance activities are completed. To provide technical expertise and problem solving support on shift. To be able to carry out work activities with minimal supervision. To provide supervision and training for EC&I area of expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure high availability of plant and utility systems by monitoring equipment and ensuring that planned maintenance activities are completed on time in accordance with maintenance plan.
- Implement continuous improvement plans to improve performance of manufacturing and utilities equipment.
- To ensure that work standards within the Control and Instrumentation area are implemented to provide compliance with internal & external audit acceptance criteria.
- Either through self or competent others, implement calibration work required to meet the calibration schedule to current company procedures.
- To implement, either through self or competent others, C&I maintenance work required to meet the maintenance schedule to current company procedures.
- Maintain all calibration / maintenance documentation and supporting systems to ensure complete calibration / maintenance records are available for all instruments used within manufacturing.
- To maintain the calibration / maintenance area and associated equipment to ensure readiness for audit at all times.
- Inspect and test the operation of electrical / control equipment and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments to ensure downtime is minimal.
- Repair and adjust system components, such as sensors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers, or remove and replace defective parts.
- Install electrical, control and measurement equipment on existing and new plant equipment and processes.
Working Hours
- 7 shifts over the course of a 2 week period including weekends
- Mixture of 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am shifts
Your Experience And Qualifications
Do you have:
- Qualification to HNC/HND level in relevant Electrical/Control engineering based discipline.
- Ideally, your education journey will have included participation of an apprenticeship
- Experience of working with electrical, control and instrumentation systems within the pharmaceutical or health care industry.
- PLC systems (preferably Siemens S7, TIA Portal & Rockwell 5000 Logix), able to use software to aid with fault finding.
- Electrical components (motor control, SSR\’s & safety systems).
- Electronics, fault finding techniques and system interrogation
- Instrumentation and control loops fault finding techniques and system interrogation.
- Computerised System Validation (CSV) experience would be beneficial but not essential
