The Opportunity
The Associate Director of Forecasting Europe provides forecasts, analysis, and actions that lead to the achievement of strategic and financial goals for Europe. Working closely with European countries, Regional & Global teams and cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, Sales, Insights, Supply Chain and Marketing Research. The role requires developing forecasts, long-range plans, and supply plans. In addition, the role will provide forecast support for Inline and Pipeline opportunity assessments as well as serve as the Forecasting lead on product data and reporting teams to leverage all relevant data to provide insights into forecast assumptions. The role is part of the European Business Excellence team.
How You’ll Spend Your Day
- Work closely with European countries and Finance, Marketing and Market Access on the development of Inline and Pipeline forecasts for 27 markets across various therapeutic areas.
- Develops models for sales trending, forecasting, business planning, and long-range planning for Specialty Products Inline and Pipeline products for the EU.
- Develop new forecasting tools and optimize existing models for the short- and long-term planning cycles. Shared and engage with the Global Forecasting COE best practices in Forecasting, tools and technology.
- Leads cross-functional teams to determine appropriate forecast model designs, formulate key assumptions, and align with business partners.
- Works with Business Development to assess new opportunities.
- Collaborates with Marketing and Market Access to ensure rebate agreement impacts, price change requests and the effect of price referencing on countries are incorporated into forecasts and plans. The results feeds into the Business Cases.
- Proactively identifies forecasting needs, develops plans, and provides input into business planning and budgeting processes for key activities.
Qualifications
Your experience and qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in inline/pipeline forecasting.
- Bachelor degree.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to handle complex analyses. Intermediate Finance knowledge preferable.
- Strong change management skills and innovation mindset.
- Strong influencing/negotiation skills combined with business acumen.
- Team player, i.e. experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, and multicultural environment.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Fluent in English, other European languages a plus.
- Willingness to travel (approx. 10-20%).

- Intellectual curiosity to go beyond the numbers/bring strategic ideas and insights.
- Strong technical skills to build forecasting tools, leverage secondary data and rollout to regions.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to handle complex analyses. Intermediate Finance knowledge preferable.
