Overview
As a key member of the Medical Affairs Team, the Associate Director will lead scientific services to support Teva’s Over the Counter (OTC), Generics (Gx), and Innovative (Ix) pipeline portfolio. This strategic leadership role encompasses Medical Information Services, medical strategic support to cross‑functional teams, and ensuring UK and Ireland participation in Teva clinical trials for pipeline products, especially in gastroenterology. A close working relationship with Market Access and Health Economic Outcome Research (HEOR) Teams is essential in this role to ensure success of pipeline products, especially in gastroenterology.

Responsibilities
- Strategic Medical Support and expertise on Mature Brands, Complex Gx & Biosimilars, OTC products, and Pipeline products.
- Promotional and non‑promotional material review and approval, serving as the final medical signatory and ensuring compliance with ABPI Code of Practice, IPHA Code, and relevant regulations.
- Governance & Compliance: ensuring governance and compliance with Teva Internal SOPs, ABPI/IPHA Code, training, congress planning, medical inquiries, and medical information accuracy.
- Team Leadership & Development: lead and inspire a high‑performing scientific services team, manage medical project budgets, support capability mapping aligned with Pivot to Growth strategy, and develop and track medical affairs capability plans.
- Clinical Trial Strategy and Execution: liaise to build clinical trial phases II–IV capabilities, enhance UK/Ireland regulatory approvals, site initiation, and patient recruitment.
- Strategic Partnership & Representation: deputise for Senior Medical and Technical Director, partner on high‑priority strategic initiatives, represent Medical Affairs at UK, Ireland, EU, and global meetings, and drive cross‑functional decision‑making and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
- Extensive pharmaceutical industry experience with significant medical affairs exposure.
- Experience launching products in Gastroenterology and engaging with stakeholders in the field.
- Knowledge of the treatment landscape in Gastroenterology, preferably in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
- Proven leadership experience managing high‑performing teams.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with clinical trial management, especially Phase II/III.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Knowledge of UK and Irish regulatory landscapes.
- Experience as a final signatory and in engaging with NICE and SMC.
- Experience working with Market Access and HEOR Teams.
