Kitchen Porter Required!
You will ideally have at least 6 months experience in a similar environment, have an outgoing personality and enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Reporting to the Head Kitchen Porter and Head Chef, you will ensure that all equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware are washed and stored correctly and will ensure that the wash-up area is maintained in a hygienic manner, in accordance with 5* standards.
The ideal candidate will be fully flexible as shifts will include evenings and weekends. This is a full time position.
The Role will involve
- Ensuring all items of crockery, cutlery & glassware are washed properly, dried and stored correctly.
- The cleaning of pots, pans & equipment and ensuring they are correctly stored
- Carrying out cleaning duties as outlined on standard procedures
- Maintaining the cleanliness of refuse area and ensure kitchen bins regularly emptied
- To be aware of hazardous substances and to ensure that relative protective clothing is worn and directions followed correctly.
The Successful Candidate will have
- Excellent Communication skills
- A minimum of 6 months experience in a similar environment.
- Ability to use own initiative
- Excellent team player
- The ability to assert themselves in a busy environment
- Ability to work independently
