Purpose & Scope of the Role
As a Structural Engineer based in our Belfast office, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of a broad range of structural engineering projects across multiple sectors. Working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you'll develop innovative, practical engineering solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and technical excellence. Your Impact in this Position
You'll play a key role in delivering structural designs, supporting projects from concept through to completion, and helping ensure they are delivered on time and within budget. You'll undertake site visits, surveys and technical reporting while building strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, consultants and statutory authorities. Your work will directly contribute to the successful delivery of major projects across Tetra Tech's national engineering teams.

- Technical Excellence: Produce high-quality structural designs using industry standards, Eurocodes and engineering best practice. Apply engineering judgement to deliver practical, innovative solutions.
- Project Delivery: Support the successful delivery of projects to programme, budget and quality requirements. Follow quality management systems and project procedures.
- Collaboration & Communication: Build effective relationships with clients, project partners and multidisciplinary teams. Communicate technical information clearly through reports, meetings and presentations.
- Digital Engineering: Use AutoCAD and structural design software to develop engineering solutions. Contribute to the adoption of digital engineering tools and efficient workflows.
- Professional Development: Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning, CPD and continuous improvement. Take ownership of your work while contributing positively to team success.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
Degree-qualified (BEng or MEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering with consultancy experience. Knowledge of Eurocodes and structural design principles, proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and strong communication skills are essential. Experience with MasterSeries, TEDDS and Revit is advantageous.
Working Environment
Based in our Belfast office, you'll work in a collaborative, flexible environment supporting projects across Ireland and the UK. Hybrid working is available, with an expectation of 3 days per week in the office, depending on project and team requirements. Occasional travel for site visits and client meetings will form part of the role.
