Purpose & Scope of the Role

Tetra Tech is a leading technical, engineering and environmental consultancy, delivering data‑driven solutions across the UK and Europe. With over 6,000 people and 50+ offices, we combine local delivery with global capability. This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Project and Cost Management team and support the delivery of complex projects across public and private sectors, working with high‑profile clients and colleagues across all UK disciplines.

Your Impact in this position

You’ll support the full project lifecycle, helping deliver high-quality services on projects valued from £1m to £500m. Working alongside senior staff, you’ll contribute to project delivery, governance, cost control, risk management, client and stakeholder liaison, and the smooth coordination of project teams.

5 Core Capabilities

  • Project Delivery Support – Assist in managing construction and consultancy projects from planning through to completion.
  • Commercial & Governance – Prepare tender and contract documents, support internal governance, and help control costs and resources.
  • Risk & Change Management – Track project risks, implement change control, and support effective project decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Facilitate progress meetings and build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Team Collaboration – Work closely with senior colleagues to support business objectives and deliver multiple deadlines successfully.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

You’ll need a minimum 2:1 degree in Project Management or a construction-related discipline, strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and ideally experience with Microsoft Teams and Project. Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills are essential, along with a professional, ethical approach. A full UK driving licence, flexibility to travel, and suitability for Government Security Clearance are required.

Working Environment

Based in Southampton, this graduate role offers hybrid working in line with team and project needs. You’ll be expected to spend more time in the office initially to support learning, collaboration and development, with domestic and overseas travel required when needed
