The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
Our Geo-Environmental Team is a dynamic group of around 100 specialists spread across 10 offices throughout the UK and Ireland, working across three core disciplines:
- Ground Investigation
- Land Quality Mentoring
- Project and financial management
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting, line management and training of junior members of the team
- Completion of fee quotations and tenders
- Undertaking/review of desk top assessments and ground constraints assessments
- Design of ground investigations
- Technical oversight of ground investigations including site visits
- Scheduling of laboratory testing (geotechnical and contamination)
- Geotechnical interpretation of ground investigations (GIR) including derivation of geotechnical material parameters and engineering considerations
- Geotechnical option assessments
- Earthworks specifications, slope stability and settlement assessment
- Contaminated land assessment (if experienced in this)
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
You will hold a degree and/or master's degree in geology, engineering geology or geotechnical engineering. You will have substantial experience in engineering geology from desk top review stage through to interpretation including slope stability assessment, foundation recommendations, dewatering temporary works etc. You will have supervised ground investigations, and have experience in undertaking coal mining risk assessments and ideally experience in writing grouting specifications. Ideally, you will also have experience in contaminated land assessment.
You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be fully IT literate as you will be required to write clear, concise and technically robust reports. You must have a good understanding of health, safety and environmental management, as applied to ground investigation. You will be a team player with strong social, interpersonal and communication skills.
