Purpose & Scope of the Role As a Senior Environmental Noise Consultant, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality noise and vibration consultancy services across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Working with major clients including the UK Mo D, Amazon, Sainsbury's and local authorities, you'll provide expert technical advice, lead project delivery and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Tetra Tech.
You'll also contribute to business growth through client development, proposal writing and mentoring colleagues, helping to strengthen our expanding Noise and Acoustics team.
Your Impact in this Position You'll lead complex environmental noise and vibration assessments, develop practical mitigation solutions and deliver technically robust reports that influence planning and development decisions.
Your expertise will drive successful project outcomes, support team development, strengthen client relationships and help grow our market presence while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and technical excellence.
Core Capabilities Technical Expertise Deliver environmental noise, vibration and building acoustics assessments using industry-standard software and equipment.
Apply UK regulations, policy and guidance to provide trusted technical advice and innovative solutions.
Project Leadership Manage multiple projects from proposal through to delivery, ensuring quality, programme and financial performance.
Lead complex projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful outcomes.
Client & Business Development Prepare high-value fee proposals, tenders and technical reports.
Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for business growth.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Degree-qualified in Acoustics, Physics, Audio Technology or a related discipline, with significant environmental noise consultancy experience.
Institute of Acoustics (IOA) membership is desirable, alongside strong project management, commercial awareness, technical report writing and excellent communication skills.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required.
Working Environment This role offers flexible and hybrid working, balancing time between home, the office and client sites to support collaboration and project delivery.
Flexible working arrangements, including adjusted hours and compressed weeks, are available where business needs allow.
Occasional travel across the UK is expected.
