As our Infrastructure projects continue to thrive, we’re excited to add another Project Manager to the team, focusing on substantial government department projects. This is your chance to work at the forefront of government property development, bringing your expertise to a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will also work on other sector projects, providing variation to the workday and multi-sector exposure.
You’ll work closely with our Senior Project Management team in London, playing a pivotal role in overseeing projects and liaising with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams across Tetra Tech. This is an exciting opportunity to influence key projects and help deliver solutions that make a difference.
Your Role
- We are seeking a passionate high performing Project Manager who can demonstrate a flexible management skillset.
- A leader with the ability to empower and inspire others to deliver successful outcomes.
- A collaborative team manager who will work with the whole project team to develop objectives and agree ways of working.
- Experienced in managing JCT and NEC 3/4 contracts ensuring compliance with the terms of the contract.
- Monitors progress against the schedule managing resources against the baseline and identifies variances that require action.
- Monitors financial performance throughout the project and prepares reports for stakeholders.
- Preparation of the Risk Management plan and process to identify threats and opportunities, assessing the impacts to develop suitable response plans.
- Manages the consistent application of quality assurance processes and standards.
- Able to establish and maintain governance structures that define clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities for governance.
- Develops and disseminates a stakeholder management and communications plan to meet the objectives of the project.
- Establish and manage review points, which will inform governance and provide evaluations of progress.
- Manage the change control process in line with the contract conditions.
- The ability to define, evaluate, track and realise the business benefits of project.
About You
- Experience working on complex infrastructure projects.
- PMQ Accredited preferably.
- NEC 3/4 accredited preferably and experience with JCT form of contract.
- Suitability for security clearance, SC Cleared preferably.
- Past experience of managing multiple projects with a keen interest in developing skills in scheduling and project management.
- Strong communication skills including the ability to manage meetings with senior client representatives.
- A collaborative approach including managing large technical teams.
- Proven ability to deliver to deadlines.
- Able to work collaboratively with clients in order to deliver results.
- Professional and ethical in everything that you do.
- Able to identify and develop a phased approach to delivery, working collaboratively with the client to understand and agree the project requirements.
- Team player, able to deliver multiple projects to tight deadlines and to form effective relationships.
- Determined approach to delivery.
- Good practical application of Microsoft Software, including Project, Excel and Word.
- Ability to prepare and implement a range of project tools including programmes, risk registers, Stakeholder Management Plans, Project Execution Plans and Quality Assurance Plans.
- Driving licence preferably.
- Having the flexibility to react to a constantly fluctuating workload is a key part of this position.
