Your work will go beyond models and drawings — it will play a part in creating places and solutions that make differences. With guidance from experienced BIM, engineering, and digital delivery professionals, you will:

  • Support the creation of accurate 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Revit.
  • Assist in setting up and managing project information within Common Data Environments (CDEs), following ISO 19650 principles.
  • Help with clash detection and coordination activities across multidisciplinary models.
  • Work alongside engineers to understand how technical designs are developed and checked.
  • Support the preparation of BIM documentation such as Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs) and/or modelling protocols.
  • Contribute to structured asset information using systems like Uniclass.
  • Assist in basic digital reporting, dashboards, and data-driven tasks.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors in a supportive project environment.
  • Take part in training, workshops and learning activities to build your digital and technical capability.

To succeed in this apprenticeship, you will need:

  • A minimum of three A-levels (including Maths) or their equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade 9-6 (A-C) or above including English Language and Maths.
  • Interest in BIM, digital construction, engineering, or the built environment.
  • Basic awareness of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, or similar digital modelling tools.
  • Good communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
  • A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Although not required, it would be beneficial if you have:

  • Interest in automation, visual programming, AR/VR, reality capture, or digital twins.
  • Academic or project experience related to engineering, CAD, BIM, or construction.
  • A full UK driving license.
