Purpose and Scope of the Role

As Client Account Manager, you will manage and grow key customer accounts, ensuring delivery remains within budget, aligned to KPIs and service level agreements, and positioned for continued growth. Working closely with operations, sales and clinical delivery teams, you will oversee account performance, support renewals and tenders, monitor debtor days and unbilled revenue, and help maintain accurate financial and management information. You will also contribute to customer reporting, complaint resolution and service improvement across a portfolio of significant contracts.

Your Impact in this Position

In the short term, you will build trusted client relationships, strengthen account visibility and help drive operational consistency. Over time, you will identify growth opportunities, improve account performance and support the development of innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience. Longer term, this role offers the chance to work on strategically important accounts, broaden your commercial expertise and progress within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Client Relationship Management: Build credible, lasting relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, with a proactive approach to account ownership and service delivery.

Commercial and Financial Acumen: Monitor account performance against financial targets, pricing accuracy, debtor days and contract uplift, taking action where performance is off track.

Analytical and Problem‑Solving Ability: Review complex information, identify risks and underperformance, and make sound decisions that support delivery and growth.

Influencing and Communication Skills: Produce clear reports, deliver confident presentations and use negotiation and influencing skills to drive outcomes.

Organisation and Delivery Focus: Manage multiple priorities, deadlines and actions effectively, with strong attention to detail and a disciplined, solution‑focused approach.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

You will bring experience in account management, customer sales or commercial relationship management. Strong presentation, reporting and Microsoft Office skills are essential, alongside the ability to work independently and under pressure. Experience within Occupational Health consultancy, health and safety, clinical governance, GDPR or data management systems would be advantageous.

Work Patterns and Locations

This role will be based out of Mansfield but requires frequent travel to client sites. Once trained, you will be able to work on a hybrid basis with 2 days per week from home.
