  • Technical documentation and CAD proficiency - Ability to produce and interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, 3D models or 2D plans, and compile comprehensive technical reports and specifications.
  • Multidisciplinary coordination - Experience working with civil, structural, electrical and control disciplines and contributing to technical workshops and HAZOPs.
  • Site assessment and constructability - Competence in asset condition surveys, site inspections, witnessing tests and translating findings into design recommendations.
  • Quality, safety and CDM awareness - Strong understanding of CDM duties, design risk assessments, QA processes and designing for safe maintainable installations.

Skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Expected: degree in Mechanical Engineering (IMechE‑accredited preferred) and practical water industry experience.
  • Desirable: postgraduate qualification, pump selection or process plant training, and familiarity with AutoCAD/Inventor or similar.

Work patterns & locations: Hybrid working with regional office attendance; travel to client sites and project locations across the UK required. Competitive salary and benefits; training and career development provided. Salary negotiable based on experience.
